The categories of membership in this association are lifetime, active, associate, at-large and retired.

LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP. Lifetime membership shall consist of active members who have been licensed attorneys for at least five years, who are members in good standing with the Supreme Court of the state(s) in which they are licensed to practice, and who have paid their lifetime membership dues. Lifetime membership shall entitle the member to all privileges of the Association including those of voting and holding office. ($1,000)

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP
.  Active membership shall be that of lawyers residing in the State of Arkansas, who are in good standing with the Supreme Court of the State(s) in which they are licensed to practice and who are current in their payment of dues to this Association. Active membership shall entitle the member to vote and hold office in the Association in addition to all general privileges of membership. ($50--licensed more than 3 years; $25--licensed less than 3 years; FREE--1st year after admittance to the Bar)

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP. Associate membership shall be that of all law students currently enrolled in an accredited law school. Associate membership shall entitle the member to all privileges of the Association except those of voting and holding office. (FREE)

AT-LARGE MEMBERSHIP. At-large membership shall be that of lawyers residing outside the State of Arkansas and in good standing with the Supreme Court of the state in which they are licensed to practice. At-large membership shall entitle the member to all privileges of the Association, except those of voting and holding office. ($15)

RETIRED MEMBERSHIP. Retired membership shall consist of members who have reached the age of 65 prior to the beginning of the fiscal year. Retired membership shall entitle the member to the same privileges held by the member prior to age 65.  ($10)

DUES.  The membership year begins annually on January 1 and ends on December 31. Annual dues of active members licensed to practice law more than three years on January 1 of the membership year shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). Annual dues of active members licensed to practice law less than three years on January 1 of the membership year shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Associate members shall pay no dues. Annual dues of at-large members shall be fifteen dollars ($15.00).  Annual dues of retired members shall be ten dollars ($10.00).

New admittees to the bar based on the February bar exam are exempt from the payment of dues for the remainder of the calendar year in which they are admitted to the bar. New admittees to the bar based on the July bar exam are exempt from the payment of dues for the Association's January - December year immediately following admittance.
